| About Angela K. Scott: Since re-marrying she hyphenates her name, but only her maiden-name is applied to her art. Her new husband is in the U.S. Army as well so she's currently in North Carolina. But her lifestyle has long been nomadic, adventurous, and complicated-to say the least! Growing-up she moved a lot, but feels the North West is home. In addition to being a homemaker & avid artist, she enjoys: music, singing, reading, writing, aiding animals, medieaval times, Fandom, and just being herSelf. Her affinity for fantasy/fiction began very young, thru fairytales & renderings of mythological creatures. Dreams & creativity are a big part of her life & provide refuge from the harshness of reality. Her creative endeavors are an outlet for boundless imagination & expression, while being very therapuetic (helping to allieve her Depression). She is more sensitive, introverted, honest, & empathic of others, including animals...She's owned by three felines and hopes one day to have a house & land where she can care for many more critters, real and imaginary! Ever since she can recall she's been drawing; while her formal art-studies & honors may be limited, her need to create (and learn) nurtures the exploration. Several years ago she began: ANGELA K. SCOTT CREATIONS, marketing her fantasy-related stationery, bookmarks & cards to fellow 'fandomists'. She's sold her artistries, on occasion works as a window painter, and often volunteers her many creative talents. As a freelance artist it's been difficult to enter into the pro markets...Although she's not motivated by rare monetary gains, but by experience, expression, & enjoyment (her own & others!) of her artistry. Her lifetime goal: attending art college &/or to have an actual 'career' in art. We all have our own unique talents, employed foremost for our ownselves & the fulfillment and unfettered love of creativity! We share part of ourselves with others; promoting reflection/feelings and more. It is fantasy, medieval themes, myths, romantism, etc! which influence her works. Primarily, she focuses on Realism, employing various mediums, such as: pen/ink, acrylic, watercolor, & colored-pencil. She finds inspiration in nature, music, mysticism, movies, books, and countless artists of the past & present. |
